Passenger Window Won't go Up

I recently purchased a 2000 New Beetle and found the passenger window will go down with the passenger window control, but it will not go up. The driver's side window control will roll it up, however.

I purchased a new switch, but that did not work.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a problem with the wiring between the switch and the controller on the window motor.
