The options (DSG, Bi-Xenons) that Golf/Jetta owners were crying about, wishing that VW offered it here in the U.S., and VW was quietly offering them on the New Beetle to little fanfare. I took advantage of it and ordered exactly what I think to be the ultimate combo.

Btw, just saw the new Rabbit at local dealership. Looks so nice and starting price of $14.9 seems like amazing deal. I hope to drive it soon, but too bad I'm not of age to do so...
I am gonna go pick up those blades probably tomorrow...usually they have sales on wipers during the summer at this one place. Still loving your car though. Does it emit a lot of soot or do you not have any full on tuning mods?
Hey, where did you mount the control unit for your Avic? I'm getting ready to install one and am having a hell of a time finding a place. Great looking tdi btw.
Whats the hide away unit for? Its chipped huh?
'
I badly want to do this, but i will need to hide it too so i can turn it off and stuff like that when taking it into the dealer for work.
Haven't snapped any pics since installing the KW v3 coilovers or the AVIC-N3. So, here we are then:
You can see in the pics of the AVIC-N3, the whole unit is recessed more in the dash than is normal to avoid using the Pioneer trim ring. Just helps it sit more flush with the dash and allows the used of the trim ring designed to complement the NB dash.
Soot is sick right now (one of the rear springs literally cracked into two pieces!!), but if the new rear springs come in before then he'll definitely be there.
LOVE the KWs. I had PSS9s on my GTI and these are leaps and bounds better. The ride is anything but harsh and yet extremely stiff at the same time. It's amazing what quality shock valving can do for the ride.
The red reverse light is the OEM rear fog light from a European NB/NBC. I picked it up used here on the Org a couple years ago for cheap. Not sure where exactly you can get them new, though I know there are a few places that sell them
