I have a 2000 1.8t that spits and sputters about every 6 months letting me know that the plugs are sucking. My question is, My turbo is out and i still burn 93 octane. Does this or can this be the reason it eats plugs about every six months. Should i use regular 87 or could that be the problem at all. Right now i can't afford to get the turbo fixed??

Doesn't matter what plugs you use until you fix your turbo.. they'll just continue to foul but IMO fouled plugs are the least of your problems if you're driving with a blown turbo....js.
