A week ago I replaced the alternator and tightened the wire going to the distribution block on the battery cause it was loose. The abs light was on continuously before tightened said wire, now it's off. Other than trying a different alternator and checking ground wires, I have put a multimeter on it and checked the wires. The only thing that changed since replacing it is the wire on the distribution block being tightened and the abs light going off, nothing has changed. What could I do to fix this issue. It's bugging my eyes driving at night with the lights flickering.

Well, to find the source of abs light or the cel; get the car scanned and see what the trouble codes are. For abs codes; you will most likely need a VW specific compatible scan tool. Do you have access to a scan tool?
