Problems Problems!

Hi All
I have several problems with my 2000 1.8 Turbo NB. As I live in the land of snow and cold they need to be fixed ASAP
1. My wipers work but the fluid does not spray. The fluid in the washer container is not frozen. I am wondering if the lines are? How long would it take to defrost them? I have driven an hour and still no go. Perhaps the fuse or pump?
2. The drivers seat is stuck in the tracks. It will not budge either way. I have put silicone spray on the track but the seat is still stuck.
3. The back hatch wont stay open. Wondering why?

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
Brandy

Wiper pump probably failed, common for these German pumps to leak or fail. The pump is cheap, it is a PITA to replace. Passenger headlight and bucket need to be removed.
thank you for the info. I am wondering would I still hear the pump or noise when I pull the wiper /washer leaver? I am hearing the humm now that I used to hear when it sprayed.
What is a PITA???
What is a PITA???
PITA is a soft, slightly leavened flatbread baked from wheat flour. It is used in many Mediterranean, Balkan and Middle Eastern cuisines.

As I recall, you need to pull the front bumper cover back to access the wiper motor. It just pulls right out, getting to it is more effort than replacing it.
Try replacing the struts on either side of the back hatch, that will keep it open so it won't hit you in the head.
too funny

Too funny man, got my laugh for the day, I'm good to go now..LOL:p
lol

Glad I made your day! LOL
I had my wiper spray stop spraying, but I could still hear the humm of the pump. The hose that carried the fluid had fallen apart, similar to how the vacuum hoses do in the engine bay. I never saw the fluid leak because of where the hose was tucked in at.
