Hello All,
My passenger seat isn't folding forward anymore. :/

When I go to pull the handle to clock the seat forward, it seems to not latch onto whatever it needs to latch onto to fold foward.

My car is 800 miles passed manufacturer's warranty, so it's gonna cost me $$ just to get the problem diagnosed at VW. (I too it in yesterday.)

I know it's just a spring, or screw somewhere. (Fingers Cross)

ANYONE live in the Easy Bay/North Bay area willing to lend a helping hand?

Or is there a another shop I can take this problem to - to get it fixed?

(Sorry, I know nothing about Beetles or cars. Just know that theyre cute & fun to drive.)

Get an estimate at an upholstery shop. My passenger seat lost the spring and another piece and it cost about $200 to fix.

Thanks! VW wants $75.00 to diagnosed the problem. :/
I'm going to google somme upolstery shops in my area on Tuesday and go from there.

If your car is just out of warranty by 800 miles, call volkswagen customer care and complain that such a uncommonly used item should not break so quickly. They may goodwill it or at least get you a free diagnosis.
