Any ideas on how to replace one of the black plastic pins that hold the rear cargo cover in place?
This is the second cover I've had on my '99 NB--the first one broke after 4 years or so and my dad machined a new pin out of metal. I replaced the cover and so discarded the metal he machined, but then the pin broke on the replacement cover after about 2 years of use.
It's really annoying--they snap in quite tight and are hard to get in and out. I've tried to be gentle when inserting and removing the cover, but these pins are just a weak point.
I was hoping to replace the support pin somehow. I don't think I have the broken piece any more to glue back in, but no glues I tried held it (JB Weld, epoxy, gorilla glue, etc.) when I did try.
