Repair of coroded rivet

Hi

UK based with a 2004 VW Beetle convertible manual roof. On one of the metal hinges in the rear which links the inner lining etc with a wire/eyelet and two ribbons the retaining rivet thingy has coroded out. Is there an easy repair just using flat washers and a ppop rivet or should I go to a spoecialist? Thanks

Hello, could you post some pictures of the issue you are referring to? VW may, still sell some parts; that could repair your situation or you may have to go to a junk yard, auto "breakers" to find a good part of the top? Please post up some pics and we will see if we can help! ... :)
