The dealer tells me that the driver's side seat belt latch sensor is bad, and this is making my airbag light come on. They want to charge me over $200 to fix it... and I woul like to do it myself.

Anyone here ever heard of this part, or of how to replace it?

Many thanks.

Nobody has any info? It seems like the seatbelt latch sensor is something that frequently goes out... but nobody has replaced one on their own?

If you have any knowledge, please share :)

Gah! :p

I've read over and over again that airbag light problems were traced to faulty driver's side seat belt latch switches / sensors. There has GOT to be a way to replace this thing myself. My dealer told me the part is like $8 bucks... but the cost to have them fix it is well over $100. MAN! I do not want to pay them $150 bucks to replace an 8 dollar part.

Please, SOMEBODY here has to know where to get this part and how to install it.

Pretty please, with sugar and spice on the top?
