Hi there,

I was looking into adding an auxiliary input to the stock radio of my 1999 VW Beetle (1.8 turbo).

I know there are adapters out there, but somehow, just for fun and finding my self a little project to do in my free time, I wanted to implement the method in described in this video: Adding an Auxillary Input to a Toyota JBL Stereo - YouTube

I have taken my radio apart but I can't seem to find/locate the L/R points to solder the aux line wires into. I tried to research for diagrams but I wasn't very lucky.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the write direction.

I did this kind of mod on my 2 Subarus; but they were much different (and easier to sort) - sure was fun and worth the work.
I suggest tapping directly into the cassette head wires, since that's a known.
