I am going to DIY replace the battery for my Beetle 2006,
but I am wondering whether I need to reset radio or something else after replacing the
battery? I once read some posts talking about electronic resetting issue but I am not
sure whether that would cause any trouble if we DIY battery change. What I am concerned
most is whether I would have trouble with ignition or immobilizer?

You should have no trouble with the ignition or immobilizer. The radio may ask you for the safe code, if its stock. But you should have no serious problems.

Yes, the radio is original without doubt. Let us see next week
I will replace the battery myself. I already took the battery
out but I have not thought about what new battery I shall put in.
I found it is not that hard at all to replace the battery, at least
much easier to do so than what others claimed before. In addition,
if we need to change the bulbs on life side, we can easily remove
the battery first to make room for headlight bulb change. I am sure
it would not take that long.I figure it out 20 to 25 minutes at most.
