rough idle 2004 beetle

The car started idling rough but go under driving conditions got it home and changed fuel filter no change the sitting still will start and run for about 20 to 30 seconds and the rough starts and will stall motor changed the vacuum check valve and checked the other one nothing changed any ideas

You posted in the wrong Forum. This one is for 2012+ Beetle's with 2.0TSI engine.

Post in a the correct forum and you may get some answers.
But since I am already here. Did you have the car scanned for codes? If not you should and let us know what those codes are. Autozone usually does that for free.
What engine do you have? I assume it's a 2.0 engine. Could be the ignition coils. They are known to develop hairline cracks and start failing. Also check your plugs and wires.
But first I would have the car scanned for codes that will help narrow down your search.
