Does the seat back adjustment on a 1999 VW New Beetle revert to the back position? My wife and I adjust the seat back adjuster to an upright position. However, over a course of time, it seems to revert back to the back position. Is some type of repair needed?

Sounds bizarre. Is there a lot of bouncing going on in that seat?
How long does it take to "roll" itself back?

Just normal use of the driver seat. No jumping activity. Seat back position is noticed after about one week.

Are you referring to the seat adjuster (back and forth) or the pitch of the seat back?
