Just wondering about using a can/bottle of Seafoam in my engine. Just under 30K miles and running fine as is. Is adding Seafoam to a tank of gas a good thing to do? Any ill effects?

I use Seafoam in both of my Beetles a 2004 Turbo S w/112000 and a 2008 Beetle Convertible w/68000 for years and have not had any issues from using it. I also can't say it has done any thing at all to improve my Beetles performance! But with that said I continue to use Seafoam in my vehicles.

Bill gave me a bottle, as a band-aid fix in the NB I drive now, when I was having CEL issues a few years ago. It actually cleared the CEL, but it's not a permanent fix. It clears gunk, and very much worth a try. My ex, Bill, swears by that stuff.
