Does anybody know if there is a silicone radiator coolant hose kit for the 1.8T Turbo???

There definitely are kits out there: HKS, Forge, 034 Motorsports, SAMCO, etc.; to name a few and tons of Chinese/Asian knockoffs which wouldn't be recommended. Most of the kits are listed for Jetta/Golf; I haven't purchased any, so...I don't know if there would be any differences compared to our cars. I would call vendors first; to confirm before ordering. Hey thanks billymade I'll look into that. I saw a few on ebay but most said they would not fit our cars or the beetle 1.8t turbo. It could get expensive to change all the coolant hoses to silicone performance stuff.

I am of the mindset that if the original hoses lasted 10+ years, no need for silicon if you get good quality rubber replacements.

There are only a few applications where I would consider silicon hoses and these do not involve the cooling system or easy to reach and replace hoses.

Too much money many times for no real long term benefit.

Here is a sense of what the stock hoses cost; I guess it depends on what the bottom line would be! I would think; the silicone hoses would last longer, however!
