My family and I caught a showing of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit over the weekend.

Quite possibly the funniest movie I've seen in many years! Absolutely brilliant.

If you've enjoyed Nick Park's past short stories featuring the duo, you're going to love this feature film. I went in with only half-hearted expectations. I've been a huge fan of Wallace and Gromit for a long long time. But I half expected the transition to feature-length commercialism to kill the joy. But I'm happy to say the movie is just a fun and charming as the shorts.

Even if you've never seen Grand Day Out, A Close Shave, or The Wrong Trousers, you're going to still love Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Our two kids are 4 and 6, and they were cracking up the whole time. And my wife and I got a big kick out of the movie too. Like any good "kids movie", there is a plethera of jokes and tributes that only the parents will get (witness the huge were-rabbit scaling a building, heroine in hand, ala King Kong... or Wallace finding himself sans clothing and quickly grabbing whatever he can reach to cover his naked midsection... only to come up with an empty cheese box surreptitiously labeled "May Contain Nuts"). Even if you don't have kids, I truly believe you'll enjoy yourself.

Plus, you walk out of the theater in awe as you realize that Park's team only shot an average of 2-3 minutes of footage a day.
