Have a 2013 NB. The shop I took it to screwed up my speedometer and it now shows "average" speed instead of actual mph. How can I change it back?

I don’t know what “screwed up” would be; maybe, try a “hard rest” of the ecu and see if that helps?

Hard Reset: remove + and - battery cables; touch the terminal ends together and reinstall on the battery.

If the problem persists, you may need to do a full auto scan with a vw factory level scan tool like vcds by ross tech and check for trouble codes, view live data, confirm the speed sensor data stream is good, etc.

I haven't heard of this with the actual analog speedo. Is that what you are talking about? Or do you have an info screen in the dash with that information?
