Spyder VW 2006-10 lights question

So I recently wanted to purchase some LED spyder headlight housing for my 07 28k mile convertible. It's the day time running lights halogen high beam lights from this link. Volkswagen Beetle projector headlight | Spyder Auto
They claim to be plug and play, and they act correctly, the outer LEDs being the DRL, and the inner halogen coming on when you turn the headlight switch on. Do these truly work and are they truly plug in play? There is barely any information out there and saw that the the LEDs don't
work with the normal connector. Any help would be appreciated! I really wanted to buy these but if there's anything more than simply plugging them into the normal connector I'll have to pass.
