Swapped old for newer
Hi, I recently sold my nearly perfect 69 vw convertible (Yukon yellow w/black top & interior), and replaced her with an 05 NB GLS convertible.... in the same colors. I belong to a local NJ VW club, and wanted something that could take a hit (heaven forbid) on those long cruises with my 10 yr old. If it were just me in the vehicle I wouldn't mind so much, but protecting my son is a whole different story. So I took the plunge.
She has some minor issues, but is a solid car overall with excellent mileage. Bought the windscreen, a boot, a lovely flower with bling for the vase. She needs a little tlc, but she'll be beautiful when I'm done with her. Funny thing is, I've already put more mileage on her in the couple weeks that I've had her than I ever put on my 69. Looking forward to many top-down adventures.
