I have a 98 beetle and upon searching for a recent clunking from under the front end I noticed I have one of my plastic sway bar end links broken. Can I use the steel ones for the 00 and later cars in their place. Whoever thought plastic suspension parts was a good idea?
Do the steel links use the same bolts and bushings?

Yes you can. I have steel links now on my Beetle.

The ones I purchased from ID Parts came with the top bolt and bushings as part of the unit and I had to purchase the bottom bolt separately. Good thing I did as the ones on the car were rusted to hell.

Do the steel links take different bolts or can I use the ones I have on the factory plastic links? I have already had the links off and the bolts are in good condition.
