So about 2 1/2 weeks ago, my recently acquired Color Concepts Beetle, dubbed "Jr." broke down when the timing belt shredded before my kit came :runnethov and needless to say, a rolled down window, a dead battery and a 6 hour wait for AAA in a snowstorm later she was home. Had to move her in the corner, so I put my '73 (Pops) to pull her. Here are my two jems ----->

but your "it's not all about speed" should be on "pops" not your turbo........ :bigthumb:

Thanks guys- yeah it was pretty damn ironic.

The timing belt job is nowhere near finished. I have bent valves in every piston so tomorrow at school I rip Jr.'s head off.

Oh, and yoyorob my 73 is a full resto. Any rust you see is superficial, ergo a cotton swab and some neutralizer is the fix.

By the way, did anyone notice the eyelids are made from electrical tape?
