I have to admit my first impression was kinda' lukewarm. From the first pics, I thought the Bug had lost some of its 'roundness'. Now that we've had a few new members with the new NewBeetle sign up and post pics, it is growing on me. When I saw one in person at our dealer a month ago, I realized the styling changes are subtle, not radical, and IMHO did not encroach on the NewBeetle's roundness.

That is my only gripe, just a bit too much edge on the fenders and an ever so slight overall boxy look from certain angles. Other than that, I'm lovin' my '06

yeah, i think it looks a little boxy lookin straight at the front, but not overdone, I like the newer front clip, it looks a little more aggresive, and not like it is frowning all the time

New design is "OK"...I just don't see the point...it's not changed enough to accomplish much of anything.

It certainly isn't changed enough to spark renewed interest and bump sales up.

Why change something just to change it???. Change with true purpose is great...try to refine it ...make it better! Don't just make it different.
