i have a 2009 hatchback 2.5 liter 5-speed New Beetle and i feel like it is running really rich. I seem to go through a full tank of gas ( When it hits the red line) within 250 miles. This seems really low miles to be running out of fuel that fast. No leaks that i can tell. Wondering if this is actually normal or if im dumping fuel.

Modern vehicles actually have a hard time running Rich, they almost always run Lean when there is a problem.

Without Fuel Trim values to back anything up, this is all a guess.

Also keep in mind, while you are stopped at traffic lights, stop signs and in traffic, your car gets EXACTLY 0 MPG.

Also an engine that run too cool due to a weak/soft thermostat will consume a lot more fuel.

Time for the OBDFusion App and VeePeak interface from Amazon for under $30 for both.
