Hi everybody !! Here is my story: this morning I was driving to home from the store and after 2 miles - NO headlights, NO lights inside(around stick and dashboard),only clock is working and then few lights came on including one for battery check. It drove fine for another mile to my home. Now,2 hours later it appears to be completely dead. I turn key on,no sound at all, can't lock the doors. Checked cables on fuse box, none of them look burned, nothing melted. Replaced battery 2 months ago, since then every time I unlock the door and get inside the car, door shuts on its own(latch goes down) and if I put key in alarm goes on. Can this be some electrical problem that drained my battery after only 2 months or is it something else. Since replacing battery the car drove just fine,no signals that something is going bad. This ever happened to somebody else?? Thanks in advance..

The locking on its own thing is a bad microswitch. And they probably can drain your battery. If you search around, there are links on the problem. Its a common failure. I just don't have the links handy right now.
Here is the link for the door latch fixes:

Sounds like you may have a bad headlight and/or ignition switch as well. Both are fairly common problems.
Thank you red99 and Smileybug. I will look later those links about door latch, just didn't have to much time today to be on PC. About my other problem, it looks like bad alternator. Checked at 3 different shops and they all say it is dead. Also checked the battery and all 3 shops say it is good. Then I found few links that mention headlights problem in connection with bad ignition switch. Red99 mentioned that also,so I'll be doing some more tests tomorrow and I'll let you know what is causing the problem.
I'd replace the alternator first. If it went bad, that would explain the other symptoms. Sometimes when the voltage regulators die, it drains the battery even when the car is off.
So,in the end it was bad alternator. Went to Autozone, bought new one with pulley. About $190 with taxes. Called friend of mine who actually works as car mechanic, replaced alternator in about 25-30 minutes. Didn't look really that complicated as I tought. I forgot to mention that I have 1999 GL 2.0, 99750 miles, batik blue. Also, interesting that in moment when alt died somehow bulbs in both headlights did burn,so I had to replace them also. Paid $20 for both bulbs. So now everything works fine, I am back on the road. Next thing to fix is gonna be that door latch. Thank you all..

After I read your post I had this happen to me while driving on freeway it died and had nothing left and the alternator drained my battery good.
