A lot of these codes came up before. Replaced vacuum hose to brake booster(split), cleaned TB and cleaned TB connector. Well they came back after a week. Thought it was fixed. Thinking the TB connector bad or the TB. Opinions?

16891/P0507/001287 - Idle Control System RPM: Higher than Expected

16523 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2: Response too Slow

Cleared codes & these 2 came back. Can't get it out of EPC mode to do a TBA.

As always, start with looking up the codes; on the ross tech wiki:

To do a proper TBA; you must meet certain requirements or the TBA will fail and a error will be the result:

Until, you meet the above criteria; you will not be able to do a successful TBA.

As for the 02 sensor (bank 1; sensor 2); it would be the post cat sensor and you might want to pull the plug and do the testing procedures, outlined in the service manual. Typically, a trouble code; indicating a short to ground in the heating circuit, will require a new sensor to fix the issue. However, it is always; a good idea, to confirm the issue, before buying, installing new parts. The heater circuit testing procedure; is shown in the service manual.

Haven't been here in a while. TBA's have not been a problem before. Cured the vacuum leak and it ran fine for a while. EPC stays on and runs good for days, then sometimes will quit several times. Key off then restart and it runs good again. Can't clear the 17967 code now so it wont perform a TBA till all codes are clear. Voltage at the TB pigtail is 2 thru 5 at 3.26 volts and 6 reads 5.
