Recently I started getting EPC light come on and occasional limp mode disabling the turbo.

I am getting these codes relating to the throttle body and alignment only.

p1542 p1568 p1545 p1171

I had throttle body re-aligned at the local garage but the next day limp mode and these codes popped up again.

Before the realignment I had only been only getting the p1171 "implausible signal error" but now I am getting these other codes. Throttle vale controller malfunction, throttle actuator mechanical failure.

Does this mean the electronics for the TB are on the way out? Or will just pulling it off and cleaning resolve it?

We have had; a number of members with issues related to the throttle body, the common thread among the trouble codes, is the wiring and dirty throttle valve.

A recent thread; related, that the ultimate problem was a plug/wiring issue at the throttle body and this resolved the problem. Check out this thread here:
