While I am waiting on diagnostics for my bug, I have been researching tires as I need 4 new ones to pass state inspection. Last week I spent some time pricing sets in the stock size (205/55-16) BUT realize that a different size might be better. I would like to find a tire that will handle well, all weather, fill the wheel well yet still provide easy turning and is slightly higher (I drive through a large residential area every day with lots of bumps, dips and low driveways and will sometimes scrape the underside) I've been driving a truck for the past 9 months and getting inside the bug the other day felt sooo low to the ground. Bug is a '04 Convertible 2.0 GLS by the way.

I've seen a few threads pointing to 205/60-16's, 215/55-16's, etc

So, I guess my main question is more about the size rather than specific brand. What do you guys recommend for sizes? Do you stick with the stock size or something better?
