Yes, legally it is classified as a fruit. It has something to do with how it grows and how it reproduces i think. Strawberries being the exception to the rule with it's seeds on it's skin. But yes, fruit.

I know, I just love the U S of A! I've been there on holiday for numerous times. I even lived there for a whole schoolyear!

Hmmm..were your parents here on Holiday when you were conceived? If so then yes...you may say you were made in America. Otherwise..I'm sorry to say you may not.

Well, yes, in AUG/SEP '74 they were travelling through California, Arizona etc in a camper and my brother was with them!
In May '75 I came in the world (3 weeks early), so you can do the math! hahaha

So sad for those of you who don't like Maters !

But, that just means more for the rest of us.

I tell ya, there's nothing better than a fresh picked ripe garden mater. Take sharp knife, cut a 3/4" slice, put it between two pieces of your favorite bread with a generous dollop of mayo, a little salt, little pepper and YUM !!

I plant 36 tomato plants of several varieties every year and enjoy the harvest from late June till the end of September.
Then there's the homemade tomato sauce !!

Ya gotta love it !!

I like mine with olive oil, vinegar,sliced onion, feta cheese,greek olives and oregano.

Simple but tasty:
Slice of white bread.
Put slices of tomato on it and sprinkle with sugar.
mmmmmmmmmmmm YUMMY!!!!
