Turbo S ECM compatable with GLI turbo?

Im in the middle of a refresh of a few things on my wife's 03 G̶L̶I̶ GLX turbo 5spd. It started with the TOB puking it's balls so I decided to tackle a few things that have been needing attention. (A few oil leaks, coolant leaks and a turbo rebuild.) So I've pulled the whole motor. I figured I'd do some modding while it's all out.
I found a guy parting out a turbo S beetle. I'm thinking of buying the 6spd out of it and whatever other parts I can to make the G̶L̶I̶ GLX a little nicer and... Faster!
Does anyone know what parts I would need to swap to get the power they gave the Turbo S?
I assumed the ECM, diverter valve and...?

You will need the Turbo from the Turbo S it has a larger turbo then the regular turbo beetle. Along with the ECU and gearbox but only if it's a late 03 Turbo S O2m gearbox. The early O2m gearbox does not have the access to shim the main shaft to get rid of the whine on deceleration the early O2m is famous for.

The GLI should have the same engine, turbo, etc. as the Turbo S. The other mk4's got the 180hp 1.8T setup (AWP engine - engine code is stamped on a tab on the head so check your GLI just to be sure) starting in '03 and all of them got it, not just special editions like the Beetle. The transmission is the difference really.
OK... it doesnt sound like you 2 agree... But it may be my fault.
I said New beetle GLI its actually a GLX, Sorry. The hopeful donor car is an 02 NB Turbo S. Not really concerned with the decel whine. The current 5Spd doesnt like quick 1-2 shifts so another reason for the swap is my fear that im loosing the syncros. Id rather have decel whine than gears grinding from 1st to 2nd.
I looked for the engine code, I couldnt find it... Anyway, I think you were thinking I have a jetta or golf because of the GLI. Im talking all NBs here. Sorry again for the confusion!
Thank you both for the replies.
i was like.... we have spoilers yo. GLI's dont.

I was wondering why you would be asking for Jetta advice on a Beetle group?
So please to take my advice and yes the 6 speed will be better than a broken 5 speed any day. My O2m use to sound like a super charger winding down in 3 and 2 deceleration before I shimmed it.

Thank you!

And it sounds like it may be worth trying to get the whole donor car to make sure I get everything I need?
Hmm... decisions...
