Hi All.. Having problems with my daughters beatle .. Both the 4 ways and the turn signals do not work..

the beatle is a 1998 ..

She has had a couple of garages "look" at it and nothing.. couple of them giggled some of the wires coming off the battery and they worked for a bit.. All fuses that I can see are solid.

do anyone know which wires specifically affect the turn signals and 4 ways? is this a common problem?

I know that when she unlocks the car with the remote the indicator lights flash so the bulbs are good.

Any help would be awesome!

first guess would be the hazard switch in the dash...

they are a pretty common thing to go bad. Not too hard to change out, either.

Thank you .. I actually bought the part from the Site you sent me too.. they got it to me over night

it worked that was the problem.. after I installed. It made sense since you could actually feel the turn signals running through the switch.. My Daughter is so happy now .. Hand signals were getting old

Hazard switch

I tried switching them out as my old one wouldn't blink - the light would just come on. The new one worked for a second & then quit. Now neither one is working. Could I have blown a fuse?
