Unable to open drivers side door

I have a 99 Beetle, and the drivers side door gets stuck. It will unlock, but will not open from either the inside or outside. If from the outside you push on it eventually it will open. I have greased the latch adn tried some other disagnostic things but still cant seem to figure out why its happening.

Off the top of my head, you will need to take the door panel off and check the door handle cable connections.
