Hello,

First time posting here, but I've been reading this forum since I purchased my Beetle last summer. Thanks for all the help so far. I've got an easy one to start with.

I've got a 2003 Beetle with a 2.0l AVH engine and manual transmission. I'm having a few issues, largely related to age - some electrical problems, that I atrribute to a worn wire somewhere, and a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. I've got a unstable idle (it's hunting), a rough engine, and I'm fairly certain I can hear the leak as well.

I'm hoping to do the work myself, so I photographed the vacuum diagram on the front fender the other day, so I didn't have to freeze my ass off while looking at it. I learned something interesting.

Somewhere in the history of this car, there was a front end accident - I can see that the quarter panel doesn't match, and that some of the parts are replaced. What I hadn't realized until then was that the front fender was also replaced - with a fender from a TURBO. Sticker and all!

So as they say, TL;DR: I have the wrong vacuum diagram sticker on my car. Can anyone post a picture of their diagram for a '03 (or similar) AVH engine?

Thanks in advance!

There are some pics of different year vacuum hose diagrams; I don't know, if they changed that much until the later years (where the fuel pressure regulator; was integrated into the fuel filter).

I think, it maybe possible to order a new sticker for your car; based on your vin #, at your local vw dealer. Give them a call and see what they say. I know; my sticker peeled off awhile ago and it would be nice to have a new one.

Check out these links for more info; if you have a specific problem or issue, maybe someone can help or take a picture of their car to help.
