I'm Debbie, with a 2003 Turbo Beetle.

Ian C is doing her up, making her pretty again with things I didn't even know could be done.
My car has been in the shop for nearly a month, and I'm not entirely sure how its gonna look, but that's part of the excitement of getting this done :)

It comes back this weekend! Will post photos when I get them.
We went to Bug-In in southern California a week or so ago, and even though those are of the air cooled variety (I'm learning so much :) I was completely inspired!

Thanks for having me, I'm glad to be here amongst other Beetle enthusiasts!

Well it started off as a timing belt change ....
Like all things Ian , it turned into a bigger project

Nothing TOO outrageous ... The average person shouldn't be able to tell most of the mods .
;)

Portland is cool .
I stayed there from Xmas 10 to July 11 .
I'm STILL on the waiting list for a timbers army season ticket :D

Me and Debbie will be visiting portland sometime this year if you wanna meet up for a quick beer ?

I finally took some better pictures.

I have clear front indicators, license plate removed, front badge removed, front foglights removed , front grill painted green , windows tinted, lowering springs, rear marker lights removed, rear badges removed, Volkswagen script on rear of car, and Empi wheels and license plate.

It is currently having a stereo system fitted by Ian C. :D

I hope you like it. I do!

Your car looks awesome! Congrats on your win.. ROTM!! How did you do the "Volkswagen " logo on back? It looks embossed or stamped. Very cool! How did you get that effect?

Answering on her behalf ....
It's made from a vw caddy pickup tailgate .
The letters are cut out individually then shaped and welded into the beetle tailgate .

Really clean, understated look to it Debbie. Love the shaved emblems, 3rd brake light & rear bumper. Great idea on using a VW truck's tailgate lettering. That must have taken some time to get just right. It looks like you are running 18" wheels?

Well thought out project.

Ian C looks to be a real craftsman and perfectionist.
