I am having a hard time deciding which TDI badge to get for my plat gray NB. The traditional chrome badge looks classy, but I like the ones with red letters too.....

How does everyone else show off their TDI?

I'm also rockin' the Lupo's green "DI" badge as a way of announcing that modern diesel cars are green. Unfortunately, I don't have any biodiesel pumps nearby, so I can't make my diesel 100% green.

Also, the green/yellow goes perfectly with the color combo on my Florida license plate ;)

That's the only photo I have easily available at the moment. Ignore the crappy gash on Dawn's rump; that was a parking-lot mishap which was fixed ages ago.

not sure what the complete meaning of green is but.....I think a tdi burning diesel is probably far from it by most standards and one burning biodiesel is not 100%. I have never had those little flowers come out of my tailpipe like they do on the yoda comercial.

Simply Silver.. can't complain, though, as it was a gift :)

ou might be surprised how clean they are, especially compared to older diesels. And running on B100, except for NOx, they get pretty clean compared to gasoline cars.

Pelican: I think I saw you at the TDI GTG at Impex this past spring. How do you like the LED tails? Do they light fully (full circle) when the lights are in the on position or do you get kind of the "half moon" effect like the OE tails?

I saw these on TVA site...but the tails they sold had a hideous chrome bar across the middle. Did you buy them this way and remove the chrome piece? If so how did you accomplish this?

Thanks!
Very smooth and clean car...one of my favorite colors! Part of my two -tone 1.8T color scheme! (see Avitar!)

Yep, that was me at Impexfest! They lights did have a chrome piece in the middle and I did in fact remove it (only held on by double-sided foam tape) because as you said, it looked hideous! The lights light up in the same fashion as the OEM ones, aka bottom is parking/brake light and the top is turn signal only.

Yes, compared to older diesels yes they are cleaner. compared to a hybrid they aren't clean at all.
Aw come on, maxforce... there's "clean", and then there's "green". Green simply means it's more environmentally friendly than the "norm"... not that it's going to single-handedly save the earth.

And, yes, a TDI is more environmentally friendly than the norm. Hybrids are certainly not the norm.

But back to the topic at hand... my buddy has a Green "TD" on both his Plat Grey Jetta and his Plat Grey NB. They look great. He wasn't necessarily trying to make a "green" statement, he just wanted to be different than everyone else... and he liked green. Though now that he has them, he's feeling compelled to start using Bio-Diesel ;)

Just a quick question...
Where did you get your TDI badges?

I've got an '06 TDI on the way, and while I like the Biodiesel badges I've seen, it's not the same font as the "normal" TDI, and I'm picky and I gotta have a badge for my car.
