Our engine is missing the bracket that holds the oil dipstick tube in place. Can anyone provide a part number, or and/or post a photo of what it looks like and how it mounts?

Anyone have a used one for sale?

Thanks!

I would be worried why the bracket is missing if it is in fact missing.

The dipstick and tube last about 3-4 years with the high under hood temperatures.

I would also be checking the engine coolant temperature as well, should be 205F at idle.

You can use a smart phone/tablet App like OBDFusion with a wireless interface, all for under $30 and often under $20 depending on the phone/tablet platform.

Thanks guys. Got one ordered from the local dealer.

I appreciate the thoughts on the diagnostics. I have VCDS. There are no temp issues with the engine. This is a NB purchased sight-unseen from a schlock used car dealer north of Dallas, TX, 3,000mi away, and shipped to us in July '14. Purchased for what it was, knowing full well there were going to be "issues."
