I have a 2004 manual turbo and after a few months of owning it the cat converter went bad. The dealer replaced it but ever since then my car has smelled like "engine". My daughter says it smells like crayons. It is so bad that I can smell it in my hair and/or on my clothes for a short time after I drive it. Is it possible that the cat was not replaced correctly? I live in alabama where we do not do emmissions tests but I purchased the vehicle in Georgia where they do.
