Finally after years of my wife saying I never get the car I want . I always get the car we need . We got the car she wanted. IT'S an 07 new beetle convertible lucky find it only has 38k on it. We both had bugs back in high school a 61, 68 , and a 70. I have to admit I resisited because the reviews are not that great but I'm in it for the long hall now. My concerns are not the little stuff breaking but that valve body issue on the auto trans. Is there any way to prevent it? What mileage does it happen at? Is the new replacement part still defective? I'm not afraid of a wrench.

I have a 2006 convertible bug and I haven't had any major issues with this car like I did with my 2001 beetle. I have 135,000 miles on mine and it still runs great. I just recently had the valve cover replaced and the N80 purge valve replaced as well. But other than that this car has been good to me. My 08 hasn't had any issues either. So I think you will love it!!
