Will these tires fit?

I have a set of Continental DWs from my old car. They are really nice summer tires, brand new, only used for a season and want to use them if I can.

I have a 2001 Beetle GLS. The tires are 235 50 R17. I checked on 1010tires and they say a variance greater than 3% is not good. https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator/205-55R16/225-45R17/235-50R17

Will these tires fit the car? Or should I just chuck 'em?

Were your stock tires 225-45-17?

Yes! They were.

Yes! They will fit. Unless your car is really slammed low, you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing.

It turns out I will also have to get adapters for these wheels (5x100 to 5x114.3). Do you have any tips for that?!
