Hi, everyone.

I have a 2000 TDI. Recently, I started to have some problems with the wipers, in that when they are turned on, they intermittently won't turn off, no matter what position the switch is in. Generally, after leaving the switch in the off or intermittent position for a while (30 seconds or so), they will start operating normally again (at least for a while).

My intuition tells me that this is a relay problem, not a wiper motor or column switch problem. However, I can't find any mention of a wiper relay in my Bentley manual, and I don't know where the relay is. Help, anyone?

Thanks,
Russ

I am having the same problem. It seems to happen most often when it is raining really hard...the wipers won't shut off unless I leave the lever in the intermittent setting for 30 seconds or so.

When the wipers get to the lowest point (near the hood), I can hear a subtle "click" that sounds like it is coming from just behind the radio.

Anyone have any thoughts?
