So the driver's side blade that came on the car from previous owner looks like a Bosch EXCEL+ with a curved airfoil on the lower edge to keep the blade on the glass.

The passenger's side does not have the airfoil.

I replaced them with the EXCEL+.

It looks like the airfoil clips on, but also has two small screws. Can this be retrofitted, or is it a waste of time?

Does look cool.

Again a warm welcome to the greatest Beetle ORG on the web. There are many areas here on the ORG to post specific questions like you have. Most of our techie ORGers are watching these areas to provide help. As for the air foil the new blades have a built in air foil on the blade so I wouldn't mess with trying to change them. Just my 2¢!
