Wipers inoperative

Would anyone know a cure for wipers not working when the fuse is checking good? It will work, then slow down, then stop half way, then later work again, is the sequence of events. Thanks

Could be a bad connection (power or ground) not letting enough power get to the motor, or it could be worn out motor/gears.

The linkage seizing on the Mark IV Volkswagens is a known issue; you might check that out as well:
