I am looking for an old stripe kit which was sold by VWoA back in the
1970's. In white (it came in white, black, and red). I'm thinking it
would look kind of cool on my 2000 Beetle.

Here's the stripe kit, and a photo of it on a Super Beetle:

Here's what I think it could look like on a New Beetle.

Doe anyone have one of these laying in a closet or garage somewhere?

Thats pretty cool, it has a Starsky and Hutch feel to it! Not sure how to help, best of luck.

I would suggest visiting a shop that does vehicle vinyl graphics. Just show em a pic and they should be able to help ya out! :)

I'm trying that. I'm going to see some folks who do custom graphic stuff for delivery vans and things.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because I usually do these graphic projects myself, but my current physical problems make me unable to hold a paintbrush.

You'd be better off finding someone that can make them with new materials. I have a new olds stock set of stripes from Kamei for a super beetle that are essentially useless to use other than having a cool display piece. Plus if you use them, the adhesive on them won't last.
