Thanks guys, The intake is supposed t give an extra 8HP to the wheels. Now I know this sounds kinda high and I was even questioning, However the difference that it made is unbelievable. I didn't take it to the dyno though but I like the power.

thanks beetlebomb!

It was very easy to install, it comes with everything you need, hardware, instructions, warranty info. The only thing I did change was the hardware (it came with plated so I went stainless to match, and not rust)

Thanks again for your interest!

Finally I found a name!

Just before my New Beetles 7th Birthday, May 17th, It's been named! I finally found the perfect name, "Finch". I think it's appropriate, because like a gold finch it is yellow and black. Not to be mistaken by the same name used on American Pie, the guy who craps in the girls washroom, lol. Here's another couple of pictures of Finch while I'm at it:

I thought about the rear fog conversion, but I really like how bright the backup lights are! Plus I really like symetry on vehicles.

Ok well my exhaust went on without problems monday, and as promised here are a few pics!

Unfortunately it has rained, so the mirror finish doesn't show the greatest without being cleaned, however I am very happy with the quality, the sound, and the install. A special thanks goes to the boys at AMI Motorsports in Barrie, Ontario!

Looks good, there, yellow99! Is that system about the same weight ans the stock exhaust, do ya think?
Hey Beetlebomb! Long time no talk! I am unsure of the weight, but I believe it would weigh the same if not less than the stock system. reason being, stainless and regular steel weigh about the same however this muffler is much smaller than the regular one, it also has a lot less inside of it for baffles. It is a straight through design, and the new power is great, especially in the mid rpm's.

After the rain, I'm so glad I have a stainless exhaust now!

Oh yea it sounds incredible, its a nice low rumble at idle and once you put your foot down it wakes up! Its a very sporty/racy sound, and I love the sound of it when your slowing down, the back pressure is sweet, it definately sound more like a race car! Thats a good thing IMO. Once your at speed it quiets down a bit too, which I also like, that way you can comfortably talk to the other passengers in the vehicle, and on long drives you dont get a headache!

Yes and Yes! the trottle response is much better, in fact I went on a nice cruise yesterday to my Granparents place, 2 hours away, and a long the way there were some slow drivers, so while going to pass I noticed a lot less hesitation, much quicker acceleration and a much faster car, not being slowed down from the old restricted system.

I haven't checked my actual 0-60 time yet but I'm sure its under 10 seconds, at least it seems to pick up a lot better than before. I am getting a G-Tech Pro SS G-meter in about a month or so, I will definately let you know what it reads once calibrated! I know it's no slower than before and you can definately feel it accelerate faster throughout all rpms!
