Convertible top switch replacement

Hi Guys, I saw that you changed the F171 switch earlier this year. I am not a big car guy and I want to no if this repair is possible for someone with limited fixing experience. I have a New Beetle from 05 and the roof does only open 3/4 up and than freezes. Do you have any advice for this repair?
