IDK? The holes lined up OK for my Florida tag, no surround on it, just the tag. I don't have a front tag (so happy we don't have to here).

 

I'm so jealous of you not having to have a front plate!!! And of the whole living in Florida thing thanks for the info and I made do fairly well and got everything attached and looking good

ALSO, my front plate bracket seems to be coming off. Is there any way to safely remove it and put in new clips? The passenger side is in tight after some tinkering but I can't get the driver side clip to re-fasten and I'm thinking it may just be toast....who would have thought something as simple as putting on a license plate would be so aggravating

if it's the front OEM bracket, the plastic "expando" clips that go into the bumper may just be toast...they don't take a whole lot of movement & snap off pretty easily.

IIRC, a replacement bracket from 1stvwparts was in the $20 or so range.

for me, I went to a PlateMate a few years ago...plugged the holes in the bumper with nylon plugs from the local hardware store, and painted 'em to match the bumper...yeah, you can see the plugs, but oh, well.

Glad you got it to work. What did you end up doing?

Believe me living in Florida isn't all that. It's always hot and humid here even in the middle of winter and we don't have any season change (unless you count tourist, snowbird, and love bug as actual seasons). It's nice and all but you have to take the bad with the good just like everywhere else. It's not the perfect paradise as portrayed on TV
