Retro wheels on 2003 2 Litre Beetle 3 door

Hi Folks,

I'm UK based and looking for a wheel/hub cap combination to create the retro effect of the attached pic. Our Beetle is also Cyber green so this image is pretty much what I want to achieve.
There are very old threads on this forum that refer to these as being simply 'stock VW steelies with chrome hubcaps and hub cap clips. I need specifics , can any one help with
  • What size and make steel wheels do I need- the current alloys are 6.5 J standard 16" with 205/55/16 Michelins
  • What make and spec. are the chrome caps and what is the fixing system
  • Are the chrome 'beauty rings' a VW item or aftermarket

Those are probably the newer VW Heritage wheels. They came on the '12+ Beetles here in the US, not sure about the UK. They are a 5x112 wheel, and I believe 17" so you would need an adapter to put them on your New Beetle, but it is do-able for sure!
