Question on the chain tensioner, I am seeing some non OE chain tensioners for a bit less that genuine VW/Audi parts.

What is your take on the non genuine cam tensioners?

 

OEM or GTFO.

In a nutshell, I deal with people all the time trying to save a buck on parts and it just doesn't work. Chinese Replacement Auto Parts are a waste of time and money.

No problem, just the OEM chain tensioners are so darn expensive.

I think they are around $600??

Is there anyone that has a repair kit for the part(s) that wear on these tensioners or do you just need to pony up the big cash?
