"greased lightning" is just a cleaner/degreaser. You can find it in the cleaning aisle at walmart or dollar general.(white bottle with lightning bolts on it)
Ya know how you get all those scratches around the radio knobs etc...that's actually that soft rubber junk scratching...especially from girls rings lol...once you get that off it's smooth hard plastic

P.S. I saw pink paint at Lowes today
GLightning doea work- just takes more elbow grease than GLightning.

If you use acetone DO NOT SOAK YOUR PLASTIC PARTS IN IT. Your parts will melt. The dip pad & wipe/scrub meathod is much safer.

I think you can pull off the spray paint with ease. Using a rattle can is an easy way to master spray painting. And the beauty is that it's an eaay medium to practice with.

Light even coats is key to application. By the time you lay down the few light coats, you'll have enough confidence to lay a final wet coat..

As a bugophile, such as yourself, i think it would be worth your while.to get some small project painting under your belt. The sense of pride you'll feel as you see the end result is well worth the effort spent in learning the process.

Do a search for the thread "painting, watch me work". Lots of good info and inspiration for ya.
