Gonna go unitronic soon, I'm having nothing but issues with Revo and I can't get anyone to answer my questions or call me back. Very disappointed. A friend of mine went with uni and loved it. I think I'll give it a shot if Revo didn't jack up my ecu like I've heard can happen..

Yes it can! Simply a reflash back to stock will prevent the dealer from knowing the ecu has been remapped if the need arises. This is done through your Unitronic dealer.

I drove 125 miles to the nearest dealer to install the stage 1+ on my ECU. The program wouldn't install on my ECU due to 1 number being different on the ECU address. The VW dealer called the Unitronic office to have the programmer fixed the address, but of course, he was out that day. They asked me to come back tomorrow when the programmer for Unitronic would be back, but, I'm not doing a 250 mile round trip twice. So, I got stuck with the APR Stage 1 program.
Wow that's unfortunate. These things do happen though (with Unitronic, APR, or any other tuner), and usually we're able to turn around a tune for a new ID in under an hour. However I guess you were unlucky and the tuner was out for the day.

Having said that, while there's nothing we can do for you at this point, we will be setting up another 100 dealers or so to better cover the US so that people don't have to do a 125 mile drive to be flashed by next year.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, and if there's anything we can do for you, please let me know!

TD Performance. Great shop BTW. They do everything Audi, Porsche and VW Dub. Prices are fair especially compared to the dealership.

TD Performance

I know they are a Tire Store but they do a lot more than just tires. They have Porsches and Audi's in there all the time.
And a few Ricers but mainly Euro Cars.

Stage 1 Revo Tune for the 1.8 is $399 which is about $100 cheaper than all the others charge.

can you comment a bit about the wideband conversion offering you have.

If I understand this correctly:

If I want to get to 250hp on a APH motor, I have to change the ECU to support a bigger turbo. To get a different ECU, I need to convert my harness to a wideband harness and then get a ECU with a tune on it to support the bigger turbo/injectors. is that correct?

i want to know what Uni can offer me with these mods:

FMIC
007 diverter valve
samco hose kit
cold air intake
3" exhaust
4.0 Fuel Pressure Regulator

i want to run the test pipe so i would need the O2 sensor delete written into the flash.

if you can do this i will go with Uni over Revo and GIAC (my old sponsor)

im in the DFW Dallas area and there is a Revo place close by and a APR and a GIAC. i just want to see if they can offer 250-300 whp like i know GIAC can with these mods. im not upgrading my turbo because i didnt with GIAC and made 265 WHP. then i went big turbo and made 398 whp.

wanting to go airbags and no super fast bug this go around. stage 2 or stage 2+ is what im looking for.

what u got Uni? GIAC sponsored me with my last bug. im not looking for a sponsorship but your stickers will be on my car at car shows.
